This number called my phone - I missed the call and called it back. A computer recording answered, and it went through a series of prompts after saying that I should log in my phone number because harrassing phone calls had to be blocked by law. It then repeated it's own number, saying to press "1" if the number that called me was the same as what they just cited. Then, it asked me to log in my own phone number by saying, "Please enter the phone number that was called," which they should have known which number they called. I was suspicious of this call because within the last 20 hours, I have received a plethora of calls from other numbers - one of them from a 707 area code attempted to download into my phone approximately 40 times, an unknown document without my request and without my permission! Fortunately, the phone plan I have is a $25 a month plan that does not include the Internet, and so everytime the number attempted to download, my phone sent up a pop up box that said, "Download unsuccessful - try another time." The number called my phone back every 30 seconds for about 10 times; at which point, I turned my phone off. When I turned it back on hours later, there were 40 text messages in the que, all containing "Downloads" - and the number resumed calling my phone. I proceeded to delete every text message out of the que, and then suddenly the calls stopped. I contacted my cellular provider to get their assistance on this, and the only way they would block any future calls for me was, I'd have to "upgrade" my cell plan - even though the operator told me the actually call blocking app only cost one dollar - but the only way they would add it onto my service was to sell me a new different plan which would cost me far more than the $25/month plan I downgraded to about a year ago to reduce my costs. I'm glad I did downgrade to exclude Internet, because if I had had the Internet turned on, the downloads would likely have been successful. Whew!
