This number left a recorded message that there are currently 4 serious allegations pressed on my name at this moment and before they have the local cops pick me up I should call this number so we can discuss it. This is a scam. It wasn't even a real person in the message, just a recording.

This was a recording which was left when picked up by voicemail. I missed the first part of the message as it was cut off, but it essentially said that police action would be taken if I did not contact them as I was involved in 3 investigations, which I absolutely know is hogwash.

SCAM ALERT! I first got the e-mail below from the person posing as a law firm wanting me to call this number. Of course, the nature of it made me a bit worried at first. I called the number and got a deep foreign accented person who just answered "hello." I thought that was weird, but asked who it was. They said "Oh… yes, this is the Harrison Law F.." and then they asked for my case number which I gave the number listed in the e-mail. They seemed to know some things about me so I asked more questions. When I asked for further documents proving my debt, he refused to send it to me. When I asked why, he got violent and demanded that I pay. I refused and questioned whether they were really a law firm. He then yelled at me and claimed "defamation of character" and that he would add that to the list of charges against me and said "see you in court" and hung up. Now, there's no way a lawyer's office would ever act this way. Also, any attorney would know that he would not have a defamation of character suit by me simply questioning him over the phone. What's more… I have never had a loan with who he claimed he was representing. This is a scam… I just don't know where they got the info on me that they had. That's the worrisome part. Don't fall for this scam! Here's the e-mail that I got: You are hereby notified that a lawsuit has been filed against you for three serious allegations. American Credit Express is a client of ours, and we are going to be representing them in future legal proceedings. The charges with American Credit Express pressed on you are: 1) Violation of Federal Banking Regulation 2) Collateral Check Fraud 3) Theft by Deception It went on to say: If you are willing to settle it out of the court you can surely respond positively today itself. I missed the call and call the number back! "Wow" What was I thinking? Nevertheless, I took got a man who could hardly speak English posing as an IRS officer...So before he could start with telling me that I have a warrant against me for IRS fraud, I began asking him questions which kind of started making him uncomfortable. He said that his name was Henry Jackson probably short for Henrico Juanson since he definitely sounded like he had a heavy Mexican accent! However, he then said that I would be arrested in 24 hours and I respond with my most cheerful voice..."That is really great, I will be looking forward to that." I don't think he was quite ready for that! LOL...I know I am being light-hearted and joking somewhat but this seems to be a very common call but my question is Why are they making these calls? (it was a call center because I could hear bunch of people in the background making and answering calls) Are they able to obtain anything and if not why the colossal waste of time on their part? VERY interesting and disturbing at the same time!
