This is a SCAM CALL stating they were from the US TREASURY and I had conducted IDS fraud. They only had an address on me that was 10 years old, they didn't know my name, and was trying to get information about me from me. They stated I owe over 5,000.00 to IRS and demanded that I play before the police come to my home and pick me up. I informed the guy I was going to hang up now and he could have the police come to arrest me.

US Dept of Treasury (Scam call) reported by


This number called me and told me I was going to prison for 2 in a half years for IRS Fraud. They did not have my name right. Gave me two different ID#'s of who they were which were not consistent. Hung up on me two different times. They asked questions about who filed my tax return and when I would not answer told me they were sending the police to my house. I told them that was the most ridiculous thing I had heard and they proceeded to hang up on me again.

TOTAL SCAM..BLOCK THE NUMBER. I called the number back and a man with an East Indian accent answered "Department of the Treasury." As soon as I questioned that he hung up. Usually I just blow my coach's whistle really hard into the receiver....they NEVER call back.

This phone number called me a left a voicemail, (via electronic voice) stating that it was a second attempt to contact me for a federal indictment, and ignoring the call without appearing before a magistrate, etc., would result in criminal blah blah blah... Basically seems like a phishing scheme, the voicemail ends with blatant threats "All I can tell if you is if you ignore this call, good luck" so it's total bu*hit.
