Robocall from supposedly the IRS stating they were going to sue me for back taxes. Know it is a scam because I don't owe any back taxes.

First I received a recorded call "we have been trying to reach you, you are being sued by the IRS." Then it told me to call this number. Knew it was a scam, but called anyway. I told the operator I thought it was a scam, and he said to go ahead and hang up and he would report me and send my file up for collection, or some such.

HAD TWO DIFFERENT CALLS ::basically THE SAME. THAT I had a law suit against me for unpaid taxes OWED, according to Adams: $5684.92 and King said I owed $4201..00. When I spoke to Mr. King yesterday he said had two options: I could take care of it here or go to Washington ,D.C. at the Court House in DC and take care of it there. I said I will go to DC and take care of there-I worked for the FBI under Hover, and I have friends there, so I';ll visit and take of the $4201.00 while I am there. He question me about working for the FBI: I said yes under J. Edgar Hoover at the time.He changed his tone, he said if you don't take care of this now we will send the Sheriff to your home. I said: You know what why don't you do that now AND IT WILL SAVE ME A TRIP ! I'm still waiting for the Sheriff. THESE PEOPLE TRY SCARE TATICS ! I know for a fact that IRS nor Social Security never call you-it is always done in in writing. I GUESS THEY THINK WE ARE STUPID. I FEEL SORRY FOR THE PERSON THAT IS AWARE OF THIS ! This truly is a scam !!

Called me twice today - once I answered because it said unknown and the other time it went to vm. Automated message: "This is the IRS calling. This is your final notice before the IRS files a lawsuit against you. Call us immediately at (202) 459-4686 or we will be forced to take legal action.

Twice today, IRS is suing me? I believe there would first be letters and then someone standing at the door prior to them suing. This is a scam. Happened a few years ago, same scam.

I received two phone calls from this number today and both went to my voicemail. When I listened to them they were the same recorded message about being sued by the IRS. IRS doesn't sue so they are phishing for information.
