Creepy robot irs scam (Scam call) reported by


I received a creepy robotic voicemail from this number saying I owe the IRS and to call back about tax fraud before I get an arrest warrant. Its obviously a scam because I've been on social security disability for about 7 years and can't even file taxes on that and before that when I was working even while being disabled since birth, until I absolutely couldn't work anymore, I always filed my taxes correctly and have never owed or did anything that was tax fraud in my life so I knew the creepy recording was a scam. Do not believe them or pay them! It's not real.

Very threatening, demanding money or I would be arrested and put in jail unless I paid immediately. The person claimed to be C. J. from the IRS TAX Crime Division in Washington DC. She said her badge #210795 and instructed me to write this information down. She gave me a case # CVCV1159 and even a warrant number 258/GA/19876. I was terrified until she demanded that I pay $2579. To an agent that would arrive to meet me in 45 minutes.

Claimed to be IRS but when asked questions they quickly hing up (Scam call) reported by


Definitely a call center where they are doing this to many people. The woman calling sounded foreign. She claimed a lawsuit was filed against me from the IRS. When I asked what the lawsuit was about and who initiated it, she quickly started stumbling before hanging up. Upon calling her back, I quickly realized it was some sort of scam call or debt collector trying to be creative (sneaky). When I asked her name, she gave me a different one then previously mentioned. When I threatened her that I would contact authorities if she called again, the phone instantly cutoff. Please be careful everyone. Just because its a Washington D.C. number, it doesn't mean its the US government, they are trying to scam you for your money.

It called three times in about 3 1/2 hours, and I let it go to voicemail. The recorded voice was creepy and difficult to understand, and said the IRS was suing me. I Didn't listen to much, since it was so obviously a scam.

Has called numerous times on my Google voice number (not the number I have on my tax returns). Left a voicemail that I an arrest warrant was about to be issued because of fraud. Googled the number and found others received the same call. I know the IRS will contact you via certified postal mail regarding any issues they have with you and no legit creditor will ever leave this type of information on a voicemail.

The recorded message advised that the IRS was about to file a suit for tax fraud and to click on a number for more information. The IRS does not make these kinds of threatening calls and the fraudsters are trying to use this to obtain personal information from victims.

I do not answer numbers that are not stored. This phone number left a voicemail stating, "a lawsuit is being finalized and an arrest warrant is being issued." If I do not respond and call them back. The voice was robotic and very slow.

They have called numerous times, it sounds like a automated voice saying that it's the last call before the lawsuit is finalized and an arrest warrant is issued. I tried to get to a live person but the whole thing is a joke. I told them I was calling ICE on them and hung up.

This person called with a muffled voice and he was accusing us of some ridiculous **** saying that They had and arrest warrant trying to scare me which I was, Then they said or I had to pay35,000 dollars and then they said they could take my house car and everything. They said that it was the IRS that was pressing these charges but I never received any notice my mail and I asked if they sent anything but they said no. They supposedly sent police officers but I" wasn't there". At this time I'm freaking out about to hang up but they said that if I hung up they would arrest me even if I called back. At this time my friend was just arriving and she immediately knew that it was a hijaker or scammer and she hung up for me. They called back instantly and we declined but they called again. We answered and said that we were going to call the real authorities and that we had their number to get them arrested if they bothered us again and they didn't say anything. That was the end of it.
