Political lobbying for hire. (Political call) reported by


It seems that this company is hired to lobby people for a variety of issues. Vote for something in their state, oppose a Bill in Congress. You might like some of the things they lobby for. (For example, more clean energy in Nevada). Most people however don't want calls out of the blue asking them to do something. We all choose our own actions. So it's appropriate that this is negatively rated. I called it neutral because I don't think they are after your money or want to defraud you, they just want to give you a message that you might or might not want, and ask you to do something that you probably don't want to do!

Phone call from this number at 5:40 PM today. Said it was Washington DC . I didn't answer it as is no reason Washington DC would be calling me and I was sure it was an unwanted call. The phone said "answering" but there was no voice mail left. Seems like someone at this number has been busy making calls lately. Caller: Washington DC (supposedly)

Just another Sales call (Telemarketer) reported by


Received a political call today from an organization who contracted the call center company "GMC" to make a call on their behalf. GMC refused to identify themselves further. They also refused to identify the organization who retained their services. GMC made the call using a fake caller ID number of "202-618-6970" and a fake caller ID name of "V916130129012887" They professed to be asking some questions about about the upcoming Pacifica voting period in a non-partisan way. But it soon turn into left leaning questions around a specific set of topics. I'll leave the topics out. If you or your organization contracts for political calls you should be sure the people you are paying conduct their call in a more professional manner. Otherwise you'll end up alienating people who might have otherwise consider the call topics. Todays call was just another junk call in my book. A call that wasted the funds and time of the organization who paid for it. And maybe even created an opponent to the call topics.

They call me every single day, usually 3 or 4 times. I finally answered to find out who it was and what they wanted and it was silent on the other end. Just added the number to my blocked calls.
