They're calling with the US Department of Health and Human Services Grant division and you have just been pre-approved for X number of dollars in free grants. At this point I know it's a scam and don't let it go any further and normally they get mad and hang up when I question how they got my information. If you go to the government website they reference it will tell you that they are scammers beware of this scam.

My phone number was chosen for grant... this was 3rd call, the first 2 calls were hang ups and the woman didn't speak English real well. I'm guessing it wasn't actual government calling me so I hung up.

i work at a cab company and recieved this call (Scam call) reported by


i was at work and received this call on the customer line. he told me something about Us department of something.. not too interested , i asked who he was looking for and said that he was looking for me. lol which kinda blew me cause he doesn't know me .. i proceeded to tell him that he was calling a taxi company if he needed a taxi. he said no. i told him " well sir, your calling a business" he said no. i told him "yes your calling a business phone number not a personal line" and he said no. i'm assuming he didn't understand English. surprizing that someone who works for any department for the U.S wouldn't speak or understand English very well.

Claimed to be from Washington DC and part of the US Government. They said I had randomly been chosen for a $9000 grant. Was called 3 times today. Twice from this number and once from 202-555-0107. They could barely speak English and I would guess had an Asian accent.

He needed my Ssn and my bank number. That is a scam caller I told him to stop calling me very politely and I hung up. He called me 1 minute later and said I'm going to keep calling you back. I said you can try stop calling me. Now I'm **** no one listen to what he has to say it's obviously a scam
