JULY 26, 2017 RECEIVED PHONE CALL FROM MAN WHO SOUNDED LIKE HE WAS FROM MIDDLE EAST NAMED KEVIN WALKER. HE SAID I WAS SELECTED BY US GOVT TO RECEIVE A GRANT FOR $9,200 CASH TAX FREE FOR BEING A LOYAL AND LAW ABIDING US CITIZEN AND BLAH BLAH BLAH. THEN HE TOLD ME TO CALL 201-643-9672 AND A MAN WOULD ANSWER AND GIVE ME FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS FOR RECEIVING MY MONEY. HOWEVER HE DID NOT GIVE ME A NAME. I ASKED KEVIN FOR HIS PHONE NUMBER IF I NEEDED TO GET BACK TO HIM AND HE SAID SAME NUMBER BUT ASK FOR EXT. 105. WHEN I CALLED I GOT AN ANSWERING MACHINE AND LEFT MY NUMBER. SO I DECIDED TO CALL KEVIN BACK AND A MAN NAMED EVAN ROGERS ANSWERED AND ASKED FOR THE CODE I WAS GIVEN BY KEVIN TO VERIFY MY ID "MK121". THIS MAN TOLD ME THAT I COULD GET MY MONEY THROUGH MONEYGRAM OR WESTERN UNION. HE SAID IT HAD TO BE DONE IN 5 TRANSACTIONS OF $1,890 EA FOR A TOTAL OF $9,450. ABOUT 10 MIN LATER HE CALLS BACK AND GIVES ME 5 TRANSACTION CODE NUMBERS MADE UP OF 10 DIGITS EA. THEN HE CONFIRMS THE SCAM FOR ME BY SAYING THAT THE EXTRA $250 IS TO COVER THE COST OF PURCHASING AN ITUNES $50 GIFT CARD TO PAY FOR EA TRANSACTION. I GO ALONG AND TELL HIM I DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY AND HE SAYS THE LEAST I CAN DO IS 2 TRANSACTIONS AND THAT WILL GIVE ME $3,780 AND IF I CAN BORROW $100 FROM FAMILY OR FRIENDS, I CAN EASILY PAY THEM BACK. THEN I CAN GET THE REST OF THE MONEY. I AGREE AND SAY IT HAS TO WAIT TILL TOMORROW. HE TELLS ME I MUST CALL HIM BETWEEN 11:30AM & 7:30PM AND EMPHATICALLY SAID DO NOT GO TO WESTERN UNION BEFORE YOU TALK TO ME. SO I BLOCKED THE PHONE NUMBER AND I AM REPORTING THIS HERE AND SENDING A COPY TO THE POLICE IN WASHINGTON D C . THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO TRACK DOWN THIS LANDLINE.

Operator told me I had to get an iTunes card and register with the bank to validate my identity. When I told him that I was a tax paying us citizen I didn't need to register this was a scam he called me a **** SUCKER! I hung up he called me right back apologizing then told me **** do what I'm telling you to do or I'll kill you. I hung up again and ignored next 3 calls. Answered 4th call he began bad mouthing me I exchanged words with him and hung up. I then placed him on my blocked call list. He left vm telling me he was mailing me a **** and then was talking Aribic to someone in background for another 1:20 of the 1:30 vm

Was calling from the US Treasury. Was to go pick up $9,200 from Western Union. I called them out on the scam and the professional attitude went right out the window...!!!!! Don't play with someone smarter than you.
