This number (and multiple other DC numbers) have called me numerous times over the past several months. They upped it to 14 times today alone. Finally, I got sick of it and answered my phone "WHAT???!!! Stop calling me"...... I got the response "Why?" Lots of back and forth....me telling him (man with Asian accent) to stop calling me and him asking me why and telling me that he wants to talk to me...told me it is a recorded line...He then asked for my passwords and usernames for various things.....bank accounts, facebook, twitter (which I don't even have).... he knew my name and where I live which is kind of scary...... I just wish they would stop. If I didn't need my phone for work, I would disconnect my line. :(

Have called 10 times in the last 2 days. When I answer there is not response and then they hang up. They are calling my work (I work for a bank) and I think that is why they are not talking, they know I won't fall for their scam!

caller is usually south asain, they have called from multiple Washington DC numbers, they claim that you have been awarded federal grant money, then ask you to verify name, address, and eventually they tell you that they want to deposit the money in your bank. When asked why they cant send a check, "this would take too long and you would be upset". Its actually quite fun to talk to them.. they get stumped pretty easily..

i received a call from 202-655-0000 said her name was Linda Gray and that I had Been Chosen by the government to receive a free grant for $9000.Said that since it was free that she would provide me with the necessary information to obtain the grant. Gave me an ID code 8044 and a second ID code AL444 and that I should call back to another number 240-442-8423 which was their transition office number and give them these ID codes and they would complete the transactions. When I called there was a man and a woman on the line but only one spoke to me and asked for the codes and then proceeded tp ask me what kind of bank accounts and credit cards did I have because I would have to pay $250 transaction fee which would be refunded in under five minutes.

Since I paid my bills on time the government signed me up to receive a government grant for $9,000. These scammers wanted my debit card information along with my banking information. These people are thieves do not give them absolutely no information. They have called me over 10 times in a day!
