This is becoming obvious and annoying. Voicemail left stating "We found that there was a fraud and misconduct on your tax. Which you are hiding from the federal government this needs to be rectified mediate. Lee so do return the call as soon as you receive the message the number is 202-657-4696. I repeat again 202-657-4696. Thank you." IRS does not call/contact you via phone.

They left same message (recorded) as noted by Lorrie (comment before mine, same date). The tone of the message was absurdly melodramatic and ominous, as though somebody MEAN was comin' for me... Laughable and extremely annoying.

An auto message telling me they are from the I R S (weird pauses included) and that I'm (no personal contact info mentioned) hiding something from them and will be in big trouble if I don't call back. Do people actually fall for this foolishness?
