I didn't answer because I keep getting scam or telemarketing calls from several '202' numbers. I tried to call them back and got a recording saying call couldn't be completed as dialed. They will change the digits and caller ID every time they call until they (think) you'll answer. Another number to block!

I just got this call. They have called me every day for the past 2 weeks 2-3 times per day. I finally answered it and he told me about this grant... bla bla bla I told him clearly he has no clue what he is talking about because our government would not be giving away anything especially where this country is in such deep debt. He hung up on me... LMFAO Too bad he picked the wrong sucker for this

told me to f-off several times after I answered the phone. I'm at work so I stated the name of my company and my name and he told me I did not work for that company and asked for my ID number. When I refused to give it to him, he said he was my supervisor. I told him that if he didn't have any business with my company I would be disconnecting the call and I hung up. Very thick Indian Accent.

He said, with a heavy accent, that he was with the Government in DC about my grant...I asked how the weather in DC was...he said WHY? I said if you are there, you should be able to tell me, he got ****, and his accent got even heavier when he started cursing... I had fun :)

https://manchesterinklink.com/phone-scam-chosen-receive-9000-government-grant/ the “U.S. Government” who was congratulating me as one of only 1,500 people selected to receive a $9,000 government grant because of my “good record.” I resisted the urge to hang up on Eric. “Oh-kaaaaay?” I said. “You pay your bills and taxes on time, you have had no criminal case for the last six months, and you are low income,” Eric said. “Now, this grant money – we don’t want you to misuse it for drugs, gambling and drinking. This comes once in your lifetime. We want you to use it for the good purpose of paying your bills, pay off your car, start a business, education, or go on a vacation.” “All you have to do is submit your confirmation money card to the account manager and, within 10 or 20 minutes, once we verify your details, you can be approved,” Eric said. Screen Shot 2014-12-06 at 1.28.38 PM I resisted the urge to ask Eric what he was wearing. I had questions. “What department of the government did you say was giving away this money?” I asked. “The Department of Government,” she said, with assurance. “The Government Grant Department.” “And where did you get my name?” I asked. “We did a democratic survey. We select only 1,500 people to receive this money every year,” he explained. I asked why they didn't send a notice through registered mail. Which she never answered. I had never heard of this kind of SOP from the us government. I told her I thought it was a scam and hung up.
