Getting these calls since mid of April 2018, and each time the prerecording cuts itself off when calling and leaving messages on answering machine (( landline phone lol)) Different phone numbers have been left as well, but this one here is the most used one, hence why I am typing here. I know for a fact that the IRS isn't after me lol, I have a Tax Company file my taxes and I pay the extra fees to ensure my taxes are legit. So yes this is fraudulent calls and I hope no one gets suckered into it. Be safe.

A computer response left VM stating misconduct on taxed hiding from government and I need to call as soon as I receive the message. IRS will always reach out 1st by MAIL and I have received nothing. The call initially said it was from Egypt then VM gave me a DC phone #.

Called twice so far. An obvious text to speech program left a partial recording claiming I was withholding information and the IRS knew I was. As I have already filed and gotten my return this year the call must be phishing.
