silent call. several like it that change numbers periodically but still keep me on their call list and keep calling severally times weekly. Occasionally they do speak. Always with heavy accent possibly India. Been calling for over 3 years.

The call showed up on my cell from Egypt and the same number, later that day, showed the call from Washington DC. I answered the call once a few weeks back when it came up as Washington DC but it was "air/silence".

This person has called me twice, both times with the ID coming up from Washington DC. I decided to answer the 2nd time. They asked me if I was L. ..., I said yes, then this lady with a very hard to understand accent told me that I had been accepted to receive a government personal grant of $9200. A grant that I would never need to pay back, that wasn't for school use, etc. She then wanted to start "verifying my information", but I cut her off and asked her where I could go to verify her company's information, because I have worked for the government, and I have NEVER heard of a personal grant. When I told her I wanted to verify her claim, she said she would transfer me to her senior manager - I waited on hold for about 5 minutes then hung up. When I called the number back, it said the phone number was no longer in service. SCAM!! Don't give or verify any of your information!!

Caller says "I am the computer technician who fixed your computer awhile ago" These people want access to your computer to steal you identity bank info credit card numbers etc and will render your computer inoperable but try to con you into giving them permission to bill your credit card for money so the can "fix" it. They have been calling me for years now. I fell for their scam the first time because I was very drowsy but I am NOT falling for it again. EVER!
