Last month I got a call saying there was a legal action against my name in Oregon, where I attend school. Today I got another one. Same accent, same terrible pronunciation of my name, but this time the called ID said DC. As everyone said below, this isn't the way the government would handle these things. Pure stupidity

Called me once and I was at work so I ignored it. Called 2 more times so I finally answered. Indian man said there was fraud against me or my identity. He knew where i worked and said I would get arrested at work.

As the others have written my experience was the same. The first time he called it stated Washington D.C. and I answered. It was an Indian man with a heavy accent and the only part I understood was that there was a legal complaint against me and was going to transfer me to a higher up. My friend next to me said it was probably a scam and reminded me to not give my card to them. I'm guessing he heard her (was on speakerphone) and ended the call. They tried calling me again today but I hit ignore. Always look up numbers and stories especially if it involves legal issues. Stay safe.

I believe this is a very scary scam. Impersonating a police officer is a federal offense. And they are claiming to be a federal agency on top of it! Even if I told them to take me off their list, its obviosly not a respectable agency. And I was a telemarketer, so this is sad. What's the world coming to?

Indian guy saying a complaint was filed against me (Scam call) reported by


I've received several calls from this number and today was the first time a voice mail was left. It was some Indian guy saying a complaint was made against me and to call back before legal action is taken. I've never gotten a letter about this and he didn't specify what "complaint" was made or who made it. It's clearly a scam and I will not be calling him back.

Spam call- Indian guy claiming he's the feds (Scam call) reported by


Received multiple calls from an Indian guy stating he was with federal law enforecement and that I had complaints against me and they were going to take legal action So obviously a scam. Just hang up lol

Hmm, even the Caller ID doesn't say some info, does someone know who is this? Have got a missed call from this one, don't wanna call back since I do not know the number... And as it seems also someone else was looking for the same number - people did someone answer it? Who is behind this number?

They called me about a student tax. Saying someone has criminal complaints about me, listed three, said something came to my door. He then proceeded to yell at me to "KEEP MY D**N MOUTH SHUT," and asked if I could "JUST F*ING LISTEN TO HIM." I merrly asked him to repeat a charge because I couldn't hear him. Then said I never received a letter, and thats how the yelling started. He stated my full address and called three times. This is a scam! It actually got me so mad when he yelled - thats how you know its not a real government employee.

I received call from the same number 202-803-4401. They said that he was with the federal government and had received a complaint against me. He know where I went to school and said his name was Officer Danny Williams and he wanted to speak with me prior to filing charges against me. Second time he even left a message. Total Scam.
