So I have gotten several calls from 2028445361, 2028445292, 2028445322 which luckily goes to my MagicJack (not connected to a phone). No message is ever left and I don't answer calls I don't know the number. If it is a "bill collector" why not say so? But I think it is probably a scam of some sort saying you owe a bill and trying to extort money. I have never had a bill collector NOT send me an invoice of the charges before harassing me.

I keep receiving calls from this number and they never leave a message, so I called them back using my work phone number. They answered the phone as "Diversified Consultants," but would not tell me why they were calling or the nature of their business unless I provided my name or a phone number to get on their Do Not Call List. I am already on the Do Not Call Registry, so I told them they were in violation. Assuming it was a scam, I hung up and did some internet research and realized they are a debt collection company. If that's the case, why not say so. If I have a bill I missed or something in collections, I would be happy to pay it, but there was no need for being so devious and refusing to tell me the nature of their business. The woman who answered would only say it was "a personal matter." Honesty would have gotten them more cooperation. Then they wonder why there is such a call for more government regulation concerning the debt collection industry.
