I picked up the phone, it rings once, a lady from what sounds like India called. Very bad background noise and she was sounding like a robot some of the conversation. I had to ask her to repeat where she was calling from 5 times. She had my first name and said I was chosen to receive a $5000 grant scholarship that I didn't need to pay back. Then I asked her to repeat herself and she hung up.

This number called me four times today. I missed two calls and the other two I only heard silence and or breathing when I answered. I blocked the number after the fourth call.

Per online research, this call is a scam. Individual claiming to be from the 'United States Federal Grants and Treasury Department' said I qualify for a large amount of money because I'm a good citizen who pays bills on time.
