BAWAHAHAHA, I got the same message twice today. The calls were exactly one hour apart. They got one thing correct, the only way I will give more money to the IRS is after a law suit!

202-864-1234 & 202-864-1131 are fake IRS Agency calls threatening lawsuit action. When called they wanted to stay on the phone with me until I had a cash withdrawal from my bank account and went to a location for a moneygram. I asked where the moneygram would go but the guy kept stating he could not disclose the information until we set up the moneygram because of government security. I called local PD and kept this guy Paul Davis on my cell. When the police came they asked for verification information and the "IRS" could not provide any information. If you come across this, DO NOT give them money. Got to IC3.GOV and report your interactions with this "agency"

I'm a tax professional, and this is absolutely a scam. The IRS does not reach out in this manner. They've called my cell phone three times so far today and left the same very choppy recorded computer voice saying that they are calling about "Internal Revenue Services" (it's Internal Revenue Service, not Services") and that "The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number 202 864 1234. Repeat 202 864 1234. Thank you."

Claims to be final call of IRS before reporting your fraud to the authorities. Calls several times. Please note that the IRS would never contact you by phone if there are serious issues. It would be by mail and even to the extent of certified mail.
