Left message on my cell. Stated was in trouble withthe IRS. Tax fraud. Would be inprisoned if the issue wasn't corrected right away. I've had H&R Block do the taxes for the last 3 years. Has to be a scam.

Got the same message from supposedly an IRS representative telling me that I've been avoiding the IRS and could go to jail for 6 months. Funny, I had just talked to the IRS three days before and nothing like this ever came up. Every time I questioned this heavily accented man, he responded, if you let me finish. It got so crazy, I just hung up and tried to call the IRS but couldn't get through. I will report it to the IRS.

Got this call today and times before. Said about tax fraud and if I didn't call I could end up in jail. I have not and will never cheat the government or anyone else. I pay all my taxes and always have.

Got the voicemail Saturday. It came from Washington D.C. Recording of a woman (no accent) claiming to be from the U.S. Treasury Department. Said I'm being investigated for tax fraud and failure to respond to the voicemail (left a number to call back) would result in lawsuit, arrest, etc. Googled the number and found similar scam calls attached to the number. Thank goodness for sites like this. The clowns should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I'm not in great shape and my heart was galloping.

tax fraud, lawsuit, arrest. Said to call before they take action to have me arrested and charged for tax fraud. Weird recording that sounded like the person didn't speak English very well.
