IRS scam (Scam call) reported by Melissa
The first time they called they left a robotic message claiming to be the IRS. We called the number back and gave the guy a totally fake name, address and what not, strung him along for a while, just to see what he would say. Dude was foreign, claimed his name was Damond Summers. Claimed that the IRS was filing a lawsuit and would be here shortly to have us arrested, lol, if we did not comply. He said our issue could be resolved immediately if we made a payment in the amount of $2500. bucks. We asked if we could have their address to mail them a check and they said no that they couldn't take a check or credit card, that we would have to make our payment at Walmart, lol!! Before Walmart was given as an option he wanted us to go to our local apple store. So we asked him are you telling us that the IRS now excepts payments in the form of apple iTunes credits? Well that's news to me me, good sir. What a joke!! So we stayed on the phone for a while, just to troll the guy. Said we didn't have a car so we would have to ride our skate board to get Walmart, so it might take a little while. He was desperate to know the estimated time we would arrive at said Walmart, lol. We enjoyed giving this criminal the run around. In the end he said he would call us back. Still waiting... I just feel very badly for anyone, especially seniors, who might fall for this scam. These criminals can be very convincing, so please warn people, especially your older relatives. They seem to be working the Florida area right now, so be aware.
