Several people on this page have called this number Verizon. I highly doubt that. It could be a collection agency calling about a Verizon account, or it could be a scam trying to get information to hack your account (or your credit card). If it is Verizon, then somebody else has cloned their number and is using it for illegal purposes. I've had late bills with Verizon and this isn't how they do things; they don't call and not leave a message. Since my BIL's name is on the account, I usually don't know it's late until I try to make an outgoing call and it gets redirected to Verizon Billing. At this point, I can't make outgoing calls or texts until the bill is paid. Sometimes they send a bill reminder text, which directs us to log in or call to make a payment. My advice: don't answer if you don't know who's calling. A legitimate caller will leave a legitimate, verifiable message. If you think it's Verizon calling about a legitimate issue, log in to your account and check for alerts, or call their 800 number and ask if they are trying to reach you. Don't trust anybody that calls you claiming to be Verizon (or your bank, or the IRS, or law enforcement, or anybody whose voice you don't personally recognize).
