Aggressive, police-sounding guy said he was calling from a police organization which is educating legislators about safety issues. I tried to get him to tell me what they were educating legislators about, was it gun safety? He hung up.

Annoying, pushy man on the phone who does all the talking will finally pause after asking me how much I will pledge. After I told him not much, he asks me how much am I comfortable with. I said I don't know because I'm not working right now but interrupts me to tell me I'll be receiving an envelope in the mail and that they need me to commit to an amount over the phone. He asks me again if I would feel comfortable pledging $20 all the while I'm wondering where these people got my name and phone number from. I should've hung up. I said I don't know and that when I get the envelope I'll donate what I can. He asks me again if $20 is okay. I finally gave in and said sure. He tells me not to hang up while he transfers me to another person. I should've hung up. The lady wanted my credit card number or debit card number. I told her I thought I was to receive an envelope. I should've hung up. She gave some excuse that they need to have real values on their account. I told her I'll pay when I get the envelope. Then she asked for my address. I should've hung up. I don't know why I gave her my address. Now my guard is way up.

I am unsure of the caller's purpose. It is always the same man, his voice is distinctive, he asks for the same person and I tell him he has the wrong number. Then I block the number he called me from. A few months later he calls me again, but from a different number, asks for the same person, rinse and repeat. This has been going on for nearly 2 years. Same man asking for the same person always a new number.

They wanted me to give them credit card/bank account number so i could donate 20.00 dollars to help Vetrins. I wouldn't give them any personal info but they are suppose to be sending me a mailer so i can send a 20.00 dollar money order to them.

I got the same type of phone call and am also supposed to be receiving a packet to send $20. I can't stand the man on the phone, he sounds pushy and just keeps on talking. I should NOT have given the lady afterwards my home address to mail the packet. Next time I hear this man's voice, I will immediately hang up.

This number, along a variant of the same #, different 4-digit extension starting with the #4: 209-222-4_ _ _, has called me every day this week. Each time they ask for a different person, never asked for me by name and the man won't tell me who he is. It is a man's voice, the exact voice that is uploaded here on the site. He's asked for Michael, Robert, Billy, Joseph. Scam. Telemarketer. A true nuisance.
