AT&T account (Scam call) reported by


wants to talk to the person that handles our (non-existent) AT&T account. When I ask for the number attached to said account they rattle off the number they called me on that is not through AT&T. When I ask for information to call back to relay to my boss, she says she will call back another time and hangs up. I have tried calling the number back but it does not even ring, just silence and then busy tone.

Company calls and asks to "speak with the person in charge of the AT&T account." The caller leads you to believe that they are AT&T and they will be making changes to your account lowering your bill. The caller transfers you to other individuals who request to record you as they rambling off some terms and conditions and you are supposed to say "Yes/I agree" or something along those lines. After denying them any information after repeated calls, one of the callers admitted they are not actually AT&T.

This number called said they were not selling anything but advising me of AT&T deregulation, and that our monthly rate would be going down. When she finally acknowledged she was not AT&T but a third party, I told her no thank you - she became belligerent with me so I hung up

Asks to speak to the person in charge of the AT&T account. When I said the person is not in and offered to take a message, she said it is about a rate reduction and she will call back. Lots of background noise.
