Very persistent to get my personal information and wouldn’t tell me why they were calling. This number called and the person tried to verify personal information wouldn’t release the reason of his call and said they would send me a letter since I wouldn’t provide my personal info.

I answered the phone and a woman on the other line asked for me. Then she said I had to give her my date of birth and home address. I asked her where she was calling from and she stated USCB. She said she could not provide additional information due to HIPAA law. I asked, "If you're a debt collector, what does that have to do with HIPAA?" She again insisted for my personal information and I told her that I was not comfortable sharing that information with her since I have no idea who she is or what USCB is. I am also not aware of any medical debt. She said thanks and hung up. Sounds like a scam call to me.
