scammer hacked my voicemail number, cannot access it, cannot fix (Scam call) reported by j
received a call from this number posing as my voicemail .. The prompts didn't sound the same as my usual and i noticed the number was texas, which is NOT my voicemail state .. I did not enter any of my info and i blocked the number .. Although i did not answer the call and did not enter my password or any other info , my voicemail has been hacked by this number and AT&T cannot fix .. the event is criminal !

Try unblocking the number and see if your voice mail access will return. Reason: The 214-226-9139 is the Voice Mail Set Up Number for Boost / AT&T / T-Mobile. When I got a message that I had a voice mail, the message said to call this number. Instead, I called my own number and then chose "1" when answered to take me to my voice mail. Then from there, I chose "get envelope information" prompt and found out the caller was CDC (Centers for Disease Control) using phone number: 404-806-4811 and the voice mail said they were trying to take a survey about vaccinations, and to call back another number: 877-220-4805. On the internet, there are complaints about both alleged "CDC" numbers, saying they are legitimate CDC surveys, and some saying SCAM. I have blocked both alleged "CDC" numbers. In any case, don't block the 214-226-9139 number because it's real for reaching Voice Mail. Last week a "CDC" caller ID appeared on a phone call and I refused it. Oddly, in that case, my phone actually rang. But in the most recent "CDC" call, the phone didn't ring, nor was there an called ID, just a message to check my voice mail using the 214 number, which I knew was legitimate, but I bypassed it calling my own number and choosing the option for "Voice Mail".

I got a call from this number. No one would answer. Shortly after I got a notification that I had a voicemail. I selected it and the voice was NOT the usual from AT&T. I hung up. saw the 214-226-9139 in my call log with the id as "VOICEMAIL(2)". I CALLED MY REGULAR VOICEMAIL NUMBER, IT WAS LOCKED. I called the vmail2 number and this time it was a woman's voice saying I'd reached the voicemail of (my name was used). Called AT&T, No fix.
