Same exact experience. Same number, same story about me being the finalist who won a trip vacation I could choose from a list of locations, same demand of money, same thing about me filling out sweepstakes out at the mall. She wanted me to give over the phone: my credit card number, my annual income, my family size, and other information to someone I never saw or heard of. Right... Three things: no-one remembers filing out stuff, people are sketchy even giving such info to his/her parents-like why are you asking me all that?, a caller who avoids disclosing the business' true identity = RED FLAG (hang up)

Bluegreen resorts, demanded 99$ and my card number over the phone (Scam call) reported by


Someone called saying we filled a sweepstakes out at the mall. They said we were finalists and won a weekend trip and listed locations to choose from. The girl said it would be only $99 out of pocket if we paid now with a debit card. Told her I wasnt going to give my card over the phone so she gave the phone to the "manager". He encouraged me to call the 1-800 number on the back of my card to authorize a payment. I said no thank you an hung up. This is a scam and they try to pressure you into giving them card info.
