Asked if they had my name correct, I said yes. They said the call pertained to a personal matter and asked me to verify the last 4 digits of my social security number and when I said I wasn't comfortable doing that because I knew nothing about the company and so she hung up on me instantly. Seemed very suspicious.

I missed initial call, so I called back. Got a female who answered and would not tell me what company they're calling from. She said it once but because of language barrier I could not understand and she refused to repeat the company name. My husband called again from his phone and then spoke to a supervisor, still would not and supposedly COULD not tell us where they were calling from because of "third party laws". I smell BS and I blocked number.

From another country wanted me to pay over $9,000 for a debit I do not owe. She couldn’t even tell me what it was from, via credit card, medical, she said to hold while I get this info and then she hung up! Funny cause I don’t have credit cards or medical bills.

Asked for me. Said they were a third party call. Wanted me to confirm my social security number. I asked who they were. They said they couldn't tell me until I confirmed they were talking to the correct person with my social security numbet... I said I couldn't do that. They said they understood to have a good day... and hung up.

Called several times. Today I picked up. Automated voice claims to have a $100 rebate for you from a website you've recently visited. It then rattles off a list of stores.????Then you're transferred to a live operator who asks for your personal info. I told her to eff off, she laughed and I hung up. So yes I think it's an identity theft scam.
