When you deliver for postmates, if a cust calls you or you call the customer (like to find them). They change your number through the app for privacy reasons. Half the time customers dont answer. Then i text them. Its not a real number just a spoof. Not sure if they can but maybe make sure to spoof using just one number for cust calling driver and vica versa. When the delivery is over driver & cust can no longer reach each other.

Postmates Proxy Number (Service) reported by

This is a postmates proxy number. When you use Postmates, you are assigned fake numbers so that your personal number cannot be stolen. You should not answer this number if you are a Postmates Courier delivering an order. It is someone trying to steal your information. Do you not give them your login information. If you are a customer, you should answer. It is likely your Courier trying to get some detail right about your order.

“If you are a courier, you should not answer” You are an *. If you are a courier, then it’s the customer calling you, probably for delivery instructions. You are a moron if you think that they are calling to try to steal your information.

Caller claimed to be postmates (Scam call) reported by

Caller claimed to be with postmates they asked me to verify my identity claiming the order i was delivering on was placed with a bad card so my account was locked and they were going to walk me through how to unlock it. They were fraud and got ahold of my account ans stole all of the money out of it. Thanks to postmates i have been rehembursed and did make a police report. After realizing that it was a scam i felt bad for my customer so i tried to deliever their food anyways only to find out the address was to an abandoned motel. So the person who called me was the same person who placed the order which is how they were able to call me. I hope no one else falls for this!

Called 5 times in a row (Scam call) reported by

They called 5 times in a row and I finally picked up telling them I am part of the FTC do not call list, but they seemed to not understand what I was trying to say. Seems like there was a language barrier.
