direct tv. They have called me multiple times trying to convince me to come back after raising my rate from $45 a month to $160 a month after my first year. They said there was nothing they could do to reduce my rate. I said cancel. They said $120 cancellation fee. I said easy decision plenty of other options. Hello Hulu and Netflix!

I had the same experience as Casey! DirecTV wouldn't lower my large monthly increase so I cancelled my service and paid a $170 cancellation fee.

It took me a call a month for 4 months to get it cancelled. They kept saying no evidence I had called. Even though I had dates, names and length of calls. Finally cancelled with a 200 fee plus the other 4 months of continued fees.

I also had the same thing happen. Then at the end of the call when I was canceling they said I had a credit. Really now I have a credit but I couldn’t use it towards early cancelation fees. I cancelled anyway.
