"A tax matter that came up in your name" (Scam call) reported by


The first call came in at 12:25 today; I didn't catch the person's name but it sounded like Edgar Ryan and the call was supposedly coming from Arvada, CO. The message was that "a tax matter that came up in your name" and to call this number. Not 10 minutes later, a second call came from the same location but the last 4 digits were different, 5428. No message left.

The guy called twice within a 10 minute span. I don't answer calls I don't know. Left a message both times. His name is Zachariah and he's calling about a "tax issue". He never says he's from the IRS. The IRS doesn't call you. Don't fall for this. Report it to the FTC like I did.
