instead of being on hold 4 ever you can opt for them to call you back when your next in cue.if you get this randomly someone probably mis entered theit number or are messing with you.

When I called IRS the wait time was more than 30 minutes, they offer the option to receive a call back, they said they would call me back in 47 minutes, which was close to accurate.

In lieu of waiting on hold forever, I opted for IRS to call back. They called back at the pre-determined time and although the Caller ID reflected "Potential Spam" which is quite tacky and misleading I answered the call. Unfortunately, the IRS representative could not tell me why or when I would be receiving the refund for which I have been waiting (8) eight weeks. The representative couldn't even confirm receiving the paperwork mailed in early January!

Said they were IRS calling me back. I had left my number with actual IRS for call back. They did not ask for any information but said I would need to call back at different time. Person call had a strong accent. Is this for real?
