He messaged me on 9/20/17 claiming to have my number from care.com, which I responded with that my number was not listed on that website. He continued to go into how he is looking for a personal assistant. I was hesitant from the beginning and after seeing the below messages it seems my gut feeling was right. Only writing to warn others before he scams anyone else.

A man calling himself Christopher... has been messaging me all morning about an item I posted for sale on Craigslist. This man offered to send me a cashier check for the amount I was asking for plus an extra $50 for holding the items for him and pulling the post from the site. I immediately was suspicious and asked him for picture or identification and he sent picture of what looks to be valid FL.Identification and a military ID. I found it suspicious that without even seeing other than a couple pictures of the items posted he was willing to pay me in full and then at a later date send his moving guys to collect the items, all he needed from me is my full name and mailing address and I should receive cashier check in two business days....I dont know how many stupid people there are out there but I am not one of them....I did however humor him for a few hours out of boredom. In the end I asked that he send half in cash and the other half in cashier check as a sign of good faith and he said ok he would get back up with me when he is done taking care of his sick wife. I don't know if it was scam attempt or not I'm just stating what was said to me and you can make your own determination, I know what direction I'm leaning towards.

He went by peter Lewis who was a real estate agent and a good business man in the military. Had me make a bank account in front of him on team viewer. Got a card for USAA and loaded 4,800$ on the card. Had me pay 3 people and now I'm in identy theft and have to pay all of the money back to ussa because it was a fraud of money. The bank called me and told me. He won't contact me anymore. After the card stopped working. Tried to get me to do a pay pall but I refused to. Claims to have an agent and house keepers etc. but doesn't.

Received text from (707) 341-6743 using my name asking me how I was today. Upon reply, the next message confirmed that Bendolph Christopher Montague received a reply to craigslist ad looking for a Personal Assistant/Runner. I had done no such thing. I told the texter that I was gainfully employed and not interested. No further follow up.

Have been getting texted by Sgt bendolph Christopher Montague, a serving military many (I spelled everything like he did on his text) - he said he was responding to a job I applied for to work for him. He keeps texting me with no real information.

You know who this is

his guy! He's a piece of *! He goes by the name of Christopher and says he's in the military at some fake base and then says you work for him doing "assignments" and that his "account officer" is going to pay you. He's a damn lying peice of *. He's not real and he's not a real job. Even when you call him out that his number is on here as a scam, he uses that he's a military man and he would never be a fraud. Message me and I'll send you his picture id and fake letter of working for him.

I bet you that phone number is a real phone number and I was one of him hired as a PA and I'm getting a good pay.. So we don't need to doubt is a true man from the Air Force. That's the only thing I could probably tell you PATTY.. so if I were you stop posting this negative thing on him because you didn't know about the online assistant job..

Do not know anyone remotely from that number. The caller sent a message saying, "Hello Verna, how are you doing today I hope you are having a great day" And that was it. It is very scary to me that a stranger would send that.

Patty and Carly: he says he owns a house in Lafayette, Louisiana. I asked him for the address of this house, but he has told me everything but the answer to this question. All I want to do is go see this house, where it is, and see if there are dogs there, like he says there are.
