The caller said they were from AT&T, stated that they had sent me a notification about service issues that they could help me solve by pressing and holding the CTRL and R keys at the same time. I asked why they needed access to my computer for them to fix issues they were having on their end of the service and she couldn't give me an answer. After asking several times for an answer to this question and her getting angry with me for questioning her I hung up the phone.

Be careful ignorant or elderly, they will try make you believe they are with ATT and will try to coax you out of your person information by relaying some of your already public information to make you think they are legit. They have an auto-dialer system and I have talked to a few of these scam artist from India and jokingly, I give them fake Credit cards numbers and readily offer them a fake SSN and and these fools keep calling me and then once I get mad, I let them know where the stand. This is a daily chuckle for me, but others beware because these international scams are ever rising and the prey on the gullible.

They wanrted tro take control of my computer to fix my att mail security settings; when I said that they could not take control they said: "throw the computer out of the window" and hung up. The ID did say ATT!

They pretended to be with At&T internet, even their caller ID said "At&t Int Support" (which I found odd) Their area code did not match typical At&t service lines and it sounded like a lot of background noise. The person I spoke with, a woman, wasn't very clear which was another give away- that her english wasn't good and she continued to repeat the same sentences
