Initial incoming call was a recording stating that my social security number was compromised and would be suspended. Pressed 1 to speak to someone - person identified himself as Office Robert Wilson, Badge #IRM062877 and claimed that he worked for the Social Security Administration. He wanted me to give him my name, and when I refused, he rattled off my name, address, social security number and said that this was going to affect my taxes. When I asked him what taxes had to do with anything, he cut me off and told me that I had a big problem and asked if I've spoken with the local police. I told him that obviously this was a bad scam because social security cards don't get suspended and he hung up on me. This happened on 10/18/18 from phone number 319-284-82xx (Oelwein, IA)

It was a foreign man telling me he was with S.S. Investigations department about a case where my social was used to rent a rental in Texas & they needed to issue me a new SS# because mine came back faulty. I hung up on him after asking why woupd the police not contact me instead of social security

Yes same situation. so I pressed 1 guys comes on gives me his ID then asks me who am I speaking with, I said I dont know you called me the the person hung up! Total scam
