A guy named Gregory left a VM stating my loans could be forgiven due to the government shutdown. DONOT GIVE THEM YOUR PERSONAL INFO THEY ARE NOT LEGIT!

Greg must be one busy dude. He seems to be the only outbound person there. I asked who they were since they obviously are not the Department of Education. Hangs up on me and will not put me on Do Not Call list.

TONS of voicemails claiming that they can help me with my loan forgiveness (I am already fully enrolled in a plan and do not need their assistance). My favorite part is that the voicemail always says the EXACT same thing: "Hey this is Gregory I'm sorry I missed you... um..." and then gives the same routine. I mean, if you're going to send a bunch of pre recorded messages, you could at least change up the message

They are telling me I have an outstanding federal loan(which I do not). They offering me programs. I ask them what student loan account info they have on me, they will not answer. They can not verify any of the info they supposedly supposed to have on me. They hung up.

THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS. THEY CALLED ME CLAIMING THEY COULD GET MY STUDENT LOANS FORGIVEN...BECAUSE OF THE GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN THAT ENDED A WEEK AGO!!! THEY PROCEEDED TO ASK ME FOR ALL MY IDENTIFYING INFORMATION: NAME, ADDRESS, DOB, SSN. MY REPLY "YOU SHOULD HAVE ALL THAT FROM MY STUDENT LOAN ACCOUNT THAT YOU SAY YOU HAVE ACCESS TO. IF NOT, THEN I SEE NO REASON TO CONTINUE THIS CONVERSATION." THEY THEN SAID "WELL, YOU NEED TO VERIFY-" MY RESPONSE..."NO, SIR...YOU NEED TO VERIFY WITH ME, SINCE YOU CALLED ME! TELL ME WHAT YOU HAVE AND I WILL TELL YOU IF IT'S CORRECT. IF YOU CANNOT DO THAT, THEN STOP CALLING ME!" THEY HUNG UP ON ME.
