VERY DANGEROUS Tax Relief Service (Telemarketer) reported by Jerry Taylor
All that needs to be done is to read the above lengthy description of what this call / unknown company does in order to try and secure business in an unsolicited manner. Being a non-suicidal, yet overwhelmingly depressed person who just happened to work in emergency medicine I have seen this type of interruptive, shunning behavior be a sufficient enough cause to incite a susceptible person to do the unthinkable by absolutely jerking the floor out of an otherwise already present feeling of hopelessness and depression. A call like this could push certain at risk person to commit self harm - it is absolutely inappropriate and if discovered by providers whose only area of expertise is in community mental health such as the APS division of DSS, would probably seek criminal charges and/or the immediate shut down of operations if this is in fact a legitimate business. This was unforgivable in ANY situation. This does contain a degree of unidentifiable personal information, but is based on my experience as a 30 year veteran practitioner of critical care prehospital emergency medicine. The risk/benefit of the divulging of such limited personal data/problematic statements contained within could save someone's life.

This is an un-named "Tax Relief Agency". The caller asks questions which, in my situation, seem as if there is hope in a hopeless situation. Unfortunately, you are transferred to someone who is rude, does not care, very cold hearted and reinforces an already overwhelming feeling of hopelessness, actually making it very clear - if you have no money, we can't help. His exact words. "We charge for our services, do you want to continue this call? I'm offering you a way out of wasting my time.". I am on the do not call registry and did not ask for this call - if you have financial problems, tax problems or suffer depression, whoever this company is, which I have no way of finding out - DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES take their call. If you felt hopeless before, this type of not taking no for an answer caller / we can help / let me transfer you to an "agent" only for said agent to hear that you are in a bind and immediately reverse everything the obvious telemarketer said will leave you feeling more hopeless than ever. Essentially, they reverse the narrative as if you were the caller and you are wasting his time as you are useless, obviously deemed a "low life" (emphasis mine from an experience in an emergency medicine career) and it is made very clear that your situation and life does not matter. This call, whoever the business is & whether or not it is legitimate, is an act of inhumane cruelty. It is predatory in nature and counterproductive to anyone for whom it seems their services were/are intended to help based on the unsolicited initial caller's description. They should be researched and prosecuted by authorities for interfering in anyone's life in such an unsuspecting and un-requested way. I would rather deal with a debt collector any day than to receive a call that advertises hope, then destroys not only the initial hope, but the call recipient's remaining sense of self worth all in a 3 minute time frame.
