Suspicious scam (Robocall) reported by


Claims I owe debt when I don't know of any. Refuses to give me info verifying just wants me to pay money without telling me why. Spoofed local phone number coming from supposed Virginia company. No legit debt collector would be so shady.

Caller identified self as Portfolio Recovery regarding old debt. (Debt collector) reported by


Received past calls from alleged organization. Told caller that debt was paid off. Caller refuted so I asked caller to mail me a statement regarding said debt. Caller has declined to do so, claiming to have allegedly done this. Still have not received any documentation but asked that statement be sent to me via certified mail. Caller replied they don't do this. Caller was only interested in trying to get debit card information. Be cautious; definitely sounded and felt like a scam.
