Pretending to be Quicken Loans (Scam call) reported by


This number called several times over the course of weeks. They finally left a voicemail and it was an American male named Stephen. They asked to verify some info and said they would call back with a rate. There was no callback, but the next morning I received a fake email from what looked like my Quicken account, but the "Sent" email address had a "t" in front of the Quicken email address which I didn't realize until later. I received a real call from Quicken, which was a Detroit phone number because they noticed I had began a new loan process but there were no notes in the system. I believe once you click into your account, you have to verify your bank info for the loan and right then is where the scammers can obtain your bank account info.

This number is Quicken Loans. I filled out an application on Lending Tree, and they called. I did not like the person I spoke to because he kept asking me what I was going to use the extra money more after I refinanced my home and wouldn't take "I just want to spend less on my mortgage" for an answer. I eventually hung up on him and then called the main line telling them I don't want to do business with them because of this. However, they kept calling me even after I told them I wasn't interested. I eventually just blocked the number.
