RCI Bonus Week Corporate Rental (Scam call) reported by


Ethan called saying he wanted to rent my RCI Bonus Weeks that I had received when I signed up for my Bluegreen Vacations timeshare. He was going to "guarantee" that my weeks would be rented to "corporate clients" and I would be paid $1400 per week for my 6 weeks. I just needed to pay a $399 RCI exchange fee per week upfront and I would then get a bank draft for $8400 ($1400 x 6weeks) in the mail. I asked him why they couldn't just go ahead and rent the weeks out and pay me the balance after deducting the fees. He did not have an answer. I told him I cannot pay $2400 with a credit card right now, especially during this COVID-19 shutdown. He said that's fine but just know that I am waiving my claim to the $8400 and that I would get an invoice in the mail stating that RCI earned the $8400 instead and that I got a $0 payout. What a load of crap! I looked on RCI's website and didn't find anything for this rental program. Don't fall for this scam!

Claimed to be with RCI offering to rent my “bonus weeks.” (Telemarketer) reported by


Told me they could rent my RCI “bonus weeks” for $1,400 per week, I just had to pay them $399 in advance and in 60 to 90 days I’d get a check for the difference. Have never heard of bonus weeks from RCI, and I’ve never used RCI for vacation travel. Checked RCI website, found nothing about tenting bonus weeks.

They were pretending to be RCI with a great opportunity for you to sell your "Getaway" Weeks for $1400+ all you had to do was pay them $399 and you would get the difference back in 60-90 days. After a conversation with my HGVC/RCI rep. these are scams.
