Third party company, named Xactus (formerly Universal Credit Services), called me to connect in a 3-way call with my existing mortgage servicer to verify the details I'd provided with banking/mortgage statements for those loans. Wasn't a big deal, but makes me question the decision making of the mortgage company outsourcing to Xactus. This could be done in house and probably saved me money on fees :/

said her name was Christine that she had someone from our bank where we had a credit card for our home equity line of better company Credit One was asked by our mortgage company where we were getting ready to purchase a new home had asked them to independently verify this credit card that we had for our HELOC at the other bank. she said she was getting the bank representative on the phone or conference call to give us permission to give them the information verifying that we have this card because the bank couldn't give it to them without our say so. She just needed to verify this new card for new mortgage company and gave the name of the companies senior officer that we were working with. We asked her to get Him on the conference call to verify her and the call was ended.

A lady with a very heavy accent left me messages 2 days in a row. On one, I could not understand most of what she said and on the other I got that she was claiming to be from the bank I was refinancing with and that she was trying to talk with my current mortgage financial institution and they would not talk with her without me on the phone. I called my refinance bank and they told me this is fraud and not to call them back.

Person left a message saying he was calling about my total mortgage owed on behalf of a mortgage company. wanted me to return the call with information. Questions this because the Mortgage title company had called earlier asking me to come in to sign a release so they could contact my current mortgage company to get total mortgage owed.
