My suggestion: To ensure you communicate with the SSA, call their official toll-free number: 1-800-772-1213. This number is widely recognized as the primary contact for SSA inquiries. OR as the recording suggested, complete the application online.

you should definitely answer this call IF you have asked Medicare Prescription Services based out of Maryland a divison of the Social Security Admin to help you understand the Medicare Prescription Plan. This number will call and help answer your questions. It is not a SCAM number. It is a part of the SSA. Also, this number sometimes calls individuals to see if they want to take part of the lower cost Medicare Prescription Services. If you dont then just say no. No Medicare Insurance can offer the plan only Medicare through SSA can.
