Possible scam. The guy said he was with GoDaddy. I had unlocked the privacy of one of my 3 GD domains to initiate a transfer. After over a decade of using GD, they've never called me. This guy said "looks like you have 3 domains with us" then only mentioned the URL of one that was unlocked. He asked if I was still planning to auto renew it (doesn't expire for 4 months and it's been on auto renew for 11 years). I said I was transferring to a new host (misspoke, meaning to say registrar. He asked if I was also transferring my hosting away from GD. I've never had hosting with GD. If he works there and is looking at my account, he'd know that. That was enough red flags for me to hang up. And complete the transfer of my domain.
