I responded to the text with a dollar amount about 20% over market value and they called anyway. The company name is Offervisors and they said they’d like to do a walk through. At this point I doubt I answer going forward. I haven’t found much online about this company though, likely some sort of scam.

All you people with unhelpful feedback. Here's the skinny. Got the same text as all of you did. I responded with a dollar amount that I would take for my house. The next day, Joanna from https://www.offervisors.com/ called me from a different number to ask me to discuss my home. I did and she asked what my motivation was for selling. I told her that we are not interested in selling unless someone paid me that amount today and she essentially realized I was a dead end lead. They are fishing for people who want to sell their home and will likely offer a cash price below market value but with reduced commissions so that the seller nets more money with less headache, they fix it up or clean it up and then flip it to another buyer. I don't work for them, but that seems to be their business model.

George, thank you. This is very helpful. I just received a txt from them today and was not planning on responding as I don't want to sell my house. I am wondering if you found out how they obtained our contact information. My phone number is blocked and the text stated that this person's partner drove by my home and provided my address in the body of the text. It's concerning to me that they are able to obtain all this personal information. Thank you again for your post.

"Hi. My partner drove by your property on ________. We'd love to make a very strong offer. Have you thought about selling?" This text was received by my brother who lives across the country from me, but they had my address in the text. Very odd.
