Trooper Police Education Foundation (Scam call) reported by


Answered call and after two hellos and still some dead air a man asked for me by name. Said a name and he was from "Trooper and Police Education Foundation" and were starting annual fund raising drive. That the Trooper and Police Education Foundation provides funds for advance training for troopers and police and additional death benefits for families. He then asked for a contribution. Recommended he send the information, and he replied he would but needed a firm commitment amount of the donation. I told him I was a retired cop and know how the courses are paid for and he instantly hung up. I searched the internet for Trooper and Police Education Foundation and could not find any organization even close to that name. I believe it is a phone scam and I'm reporting it to my Sheriff's Office. Use what I wrote as information to use for your own decisions.

Asked for a person by name and when told they had the wrong number they said "well maybe you can help..." then started on their pitch for money. Said "nope" and hung up and blocked their number.
