Tricare asking me if i had diabetes (Company) reported by


She said she was from tricare and wanted to know if i had been diagnosed with diabetes and that they had a program for it. Seems really sketchy since tricare knows my medical info already, so why ask? She wanted my identifying info.

Claimed to be United Tricare Network. Not Humana. Asked for personal info. I started I was hesitant to give personal info on unsolicited call. He hung up after I was silent for a few seconds. Just not a comfortable call.

Did not answer call. Claimed to be a nurse from Tricare Humana Military. Checked number that they called from and number was told to return call to and they were both located in Louisville. Let me a message with no other info but to call her back. I returned call, but no answer. VM said she was a RN with Humana. Probably case management or something. I recently was at PMD.

This is number is the Humana Military Integrated Nurse line. It is not a scam phone number. They are the current federal contracted health insurance provider for TriCare, serving military members (active and retired) for the eastern half of the united states. Caller left a voicemail with a 1-800 number (verified as Humana) along with her extension and the purpose of her call. I returned the call and can confirm it's Humana.

The caller claimed to be from TriCare. Said they were doing a follow up. Asked for my birthday. I declined and asked what the follow up was for. The caller said that she could not tell me what the follow up was for because of HIPPA. I told her that if she could not tell me what we were supposed to discuss, I would not be giving her any info or discussing anything with her. She offered to give me her phone# so I could call her...same difference! I called Tricare. They told me that they had not called me since Dec. 2017. They also said that they showed nothing that needed action from me.

This call was to act as an advocate in the care and management of a specific health issue. They know the meds, health history. Not a scam. Actually worked with me for about 25 minutes in getting assistance for me when I have been having trouble with local care providers. Said they would follow up next month to check progress . EXCELLENT and KNOWLEDGEABLE ADVOCATE. I’m actually glad I took the call. He got more accomplished fir me in that 20 minutes than months with Express Scripts/primary care Dr, etc.

Was not comfortable providing personal information for 20+ minutes. Individual would not send paper literature and stated I HAD to talk to her over the phone if I wanted to take advantage of their services. Called Tricare afterwards and they stated they don't contact us over the phone for those types of services and had no note saying I was contacted.

The caller indicated I was chosen to call due to a specific Health care area that they wanted to use to conduct a quick survey. Yes, they ask a few personal question, but nothing that was harmful or could aid in identity theft or anything. They provided great health tips that anyone could benefit from, and they are supposed to send a follow up email. Quick, easy and painless. I don't feel that I provided any damaging information.
