Lady said she had our package held in the UK and we needed to pay the $143 customs fees and dues for it to pass.... she didn't have an accent or anything if she was in the UK I would think she would. She did give the tracking number which made it seem real. But she got snippy when I said I already paid all dues at the time of shipping and she said she would talk with UK customs and let me know hahahaha yeah ok whatever

Scam purporting to be FedEx International (Scam call) reported by


"Alex" from FedEx International Trade left a very long voicemail about a package that is held up in customs in Singapore tracking number 785632140577. They needed "pre-clearance information." We need you to provide us with your credit card account because the recipient doesn't want to pay for duties or taxes. Asked me to call 800-463-3339 (legitimate FedEx phone number). "Alex" had trouble with the calendar as there were many pauses while she was figuring out the dates. The package was shipped Feb 22nd, it is held up in customs on the 25th and we only had 3 days to provide payment, but "Alex" called me on the 28th, when the 3 days had already expired. It was very important to provide payment information by March 2nd, otherwise the package would be returned at my expense. How are they supposed to scam people if they provide a legitimate phone number?

Received a call about a FedEx package that was held up in transit because it "needed a commercial invoice to accompany it". Would have normally just blown it off, but the caller had my wife's first name. Tried to track it with the tracking number they left and got nothing on the FedEx website.
