Called and said that I owed for a payday loan from 2003 which is way beyond the statute of limitations for any debt. Threatened legal action and yelled at me. When I told them that I needed their address and phone number to report them to consumer protection they hung up. I have blocked the number.

Trying to collect an out of date debt. (Debt collector) reported by


Trying to collect on a debt that is over ten years old and is beyond the statue of limitations to legally report to credit bureaus or take to court. But they keep threatening court action. I asked for the phone number and address so I could send them a letter with an identical one for the Consumer Protection Agency because threatening legal action when it is not a viable option is against the law and the person said “ YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT”. The next thing I heard was a dial tone.
