Tries to call stating fbi tax fraud. When asked aboit being a scammer, he hung up. I tried calling back to question him on his motive for scammong me and how he got my number, he answers and hangs up immediately.

I received a pre-recorded scam call from this number. They pretend to be IRS and are about to issue a lawsuit and a warrant for my arrest if I do not call them within one hour. THIS IS A SCAM. If you call, they will ask you to wire them money right now or they will proceed with arresting you. I did not call. I only knew about this scam because I watched a program TV warning about this scam. Ignore this call.

Received what seemed like an automated voicemail message (partially cut off) from 509-392-6041 advising that if I didn't contact them within an hour, a warrant would be executed within 24 hours for my arrest. I called my local police department as was advised that this was probably a hoax as they do not leave voice mails advising of warrants for arrest: they issue them by showing up at your door. Either the caller has the wrong number or it was an effort to hijack my phone number for illicit use in some calling scheme. I will not return the phone call, but you might want to try another mechanism to reach the person you think you're calling 'cause I'm pretty sure it's not me that you intend to reach and someone forgot to update his phone number records with somebody. Whoever he was, he's former military.
