They masked their phone # as TCSO (Scam call) reported by Syd
This is a very well thought out scam. They mask their number as the TCSO, so of course, I answered. They'll claim their names are Jacob Smith (badge # JS and some #s) and Dustin Brown (badge # DB108F) and that your social security number is involved in a federal investigation to do with $10 mil + in money laundering. They gave me a Social Security Administration case #, an arrest/warrant # for my arrest due to it being my social security #. I was named the prime suspect due to it being my social security #. Said there was a warrant to search my home and whatnot. I was scared and am a smart girl but I almost got scanned. They claimed they would have to issue me a new social security # and suspend all bank accounts so I would need to go get a prepaid card to hold me over until I can open a new bank account. I was like, "alright if this dude tries to ask for the # of the prepaid card, this is a scam." Why in the world would they need my card #? hung up on him and he called me harassing me. Sorry if this doesn't make total sense I am rage writing right now. Be careful my peeps.
