This, along with other numbers that appear to be local numbers call my phone quite often. I refuse to pick up unless I know who it is. DO NOT CALL LIST has become a joke . The government is not stopping the calls from coming.

Supposedly third-party energy company offering 20% discount (Scam call) reported by


Caller claimed to be with Starion Energy, and said that they were calling on behalf of Duke Energy and that they were offering a 20% discount on future service. All I have to do it go grab a copy of my latest bill and give them information from it. I get these calls often from different number saying the EXACT same thing. Usually they tell me that they're required to wait on the phone while I get my bill. This is almost certainly a scam call…especially since I get the same call from different numbers.

This is exactly the way my call went. I talkek I told lady to send me information and I would look it over.She replied "we been sending it for two years and if want to continue to pay 20% more then fine" and hung up...

The person claims to be with Starion Energy, claiming that if I give them my billing/account information from my Duke Energy account, that they will be able to give me a discount on my energy bills. Sounds like a scam, not telemarketing.
