A woman asked to speak to the owner. I said he was in surgery (This is a vet clinic they called. The veterinarian owns it). She just said "Oh...." I could hear an entire crowd of people in the background. It had to be a call centre. I just hung up since she didn't say anything else.

Every single day our business gets one or more hangups from this number. When you call back it says "the number you have dialed is not in service" I get annoyed because I answer all the phone calls and when I see it pop up I just want them to go away. They aren't even trying to sell me anything at this point so it really is pointless.

Make sure you never utter the word, "Yes", in response to any question, or they will use that as a "Yes" to wanting all of their services, and you will have someone insisting that you have agreed to install a new credit card machine showing up the next day.
